Where are you from?

I’m from Nairobi, Kenya.

How long have you been in Mexico?

I’ve been living here for 8 years. I lived in Monterrey, San Luis Potosi and now in Queretaro.

How long have you been teaching English?

I’ve taught English for 8 years.

How long have you been with UE?

I’ve been teaching here for 4 years.

Have you taught anywhere else?

Yes, I taught English to children in a school in Monterrey for 2 years, and then at different language schools in San Luis Potosi.

What do you like about teaching at UE?

The diversity of people is great. I meet and speak to different students and teachers constantly, and this makes my job very interesting. I think we can all learn a lot from each other. The school is also very organised, which helps us give our best as teachers. I am able to balance my professional life and my family, so this is a great advantage.

What advice can you offer to language learners

I think you have to try to interact with the language every day, it´s the little things that do the trick. Change the language settings on your phone or computer. Use the internet, watch videos, read, download apps, chat with friends. The options are endless.We learn languages in order to communicate, so go out there and do your best.
