Where are you from?

I’m from the countryside in northern Alberta, in Canada.

How long have you been in Mexico?

I have been here for one and a half years.

How long have you been teaching English?

I have been teaching English for 3 years.

How long have you been working in United English?

I started working with United English in July of 2019.

Have you taught anywhere else other than UE?

I started teaching English at a private English academy in China in 2016. When I moved to Querétaro I was teaching at another English school and also at an elementary school.

What do you like about teaching at UE?

I really enjoy the variety of students I have had the opportunity to work with. The ability to travel to different companies throughout Mexico has also been a wonderful experience. The school has been very helpful, and it feels great to feel valued as an employee. Lastly, the other teachers are great to work with and make work even more enjoyable.

What advice can you offer to language learners?

Be patient, if learning a language was easy, I wouldn’t have a job. Try to expose yourself to the language as much as possible and ask as many questions as you can.
