Where are you from?

I’m from Seattle, Washington in the beautiful Northwest of the United States.

How long have you been in Mexico?

I arrived to Mexico in late summer 2021.

How long have you been teaching English?

I’ve been teaching English as a foreign language since 2020. In addition to general English, I bring 20 years of business communication experience to teach Business English and English for specific industries.

How long have you been teaching at United English?

I joined the United English team in late summer 2021.

Have you taught anywhere else other than UE?

Yes, I’ve taught in Ukraine.

What do you like about teaching at UE?

United English has created its own curriculum specifically for adult learners wanting to improve their general English skills and business communication abilities. The materials are student centered and modern – fantastic! But what I love are the wonderful students; learners who are interested, talented and fun.

What advice can you offer to language learners?

The most important thing is to not get discouraged when it feels difficult. Becoming fluent takes time. There aren’t any shortcuts but there are tools. Consistent practice, exposure to diverse speaking and writing styles, and did I forget to say practice, practice, practice?
