Newsletter Nine - August - Theme: Changing your thinking
In England, there is an expression that stubborn people say about themselves:
"I know what I like, and I like what I know".
Often, this can be the biggest barrier we face in changing our lives for the better. A stubbornness for change.
These videos are full of inspiration. The inspiration to change your mind, literally.

Newsletter Eight- July- Theme: Social Media
Ten years ago everybody used PCs, and social media consisted of sending an email to friends.
Now, websites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and the rest have transcended early expectations of running your life, to become integral to you, your image, your mark and perhaps, your business.
But is it worthwhile?
The big question now is whether 3,000 likes on Facebook really translates into sales. Or whether you having 5,000 followers on Twitter is marketing.
The true goal, it seems, is to focus on building real relationships and interactions. Giving something of value to people in your network, and earning the privilege of "being their friend".
These videos all discuss the various ways social media help business!

Newsletter Seven - June- Theme: Starting a Business
Here is a question we ask our students in oral exams:
"What would you like to do in the future"?
This is the most common answer we hear, tenfold:
"Start my own business".
The idea of owning, and running, a start-up is often sold as sailing a boat into a very wide and deep ocean. There is always room for more. It seems, or so we are told, that resources are endless; a pie to be sliced into infinity. But the boat needs to be built first. And tested. And maintained, before any amount of water may be circumnavigated.
So, this month´s newsletter is about start-ups. The first video is from the amazing Khan Academy (free lessons on-line). The second and third are snippets of advice from two of the most powerful people on the planet, Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) and Warren Buffet (Coca Cola).
Enjoy! And share!
Newsletter Six- May - Theme: Motivation
This month we look at motivation. Our first video is from Daniel Pink speaking about control Vs. motivation. He gives tips on the secret of motivation. The second video is from marketing genius, Seth Godin on failing until you succeed. The last video, from the BBC, is rapper 50 Cent talking about the 50 laws of power. We hope you enjoy the content this month.
Newsletter Five - April- Theme: Confidence Building
This month we look at confidence, and how to build it. We have selected one article and two great videos for you to enjoy. In all aspects of life confidence can be the number one deciding factor in whether you pass or fail, have fun or suffer, get that job or walk away empty handed. In terms of speaking a second - or third or fourth - language, confidence plays a critical role. Practicing and studying are important, but so is building confidence. We hope you enjoy the content this month.
Newsletter Four- March- Theme: Changing Leaders
"April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go." ~John Mistletoe
Springtime is here, bringing with it change. And changes are happening all around us; a new pope was elected recently; as were the new presidents of The People´s Republic of China and Kenya, Africa. Seas of change that affect billions of lives. And change can be a difficult ocean to sail. New leaders face challenges distinctively different to those faced by their predecessors.
So, what does it take to be a leader? And what must a new leader do when they first acquire power? This month´s videos all take these questions into consideration. Enjoy!
Newsletter Three- February- Theme: Innovation
